For too long we’ve been spoon fed the same boring same tune different name releases by artists witch ego’s barely fit inside a hummer. I said: f*ck that! Let’s start a label that focusses on the thing it was all supposed to be about; making people dance until the morning light. DIRTY HOUSE™ brings you the finest in latin, eclectic & electrohouse, with nothing but floor filling releases.

Mission

The best plans are born out of a feeling that the world is missing something. DIRTY HOUSE™ was invented in 2006 by Vato Gonzalez™ when he started to get annoyed by the fact that the tracks that rocked the clubs - we're not the tracks he could buy in vinyl or find in the charts.

So, the crowd were enjoying music, the producers were making it but the complete industry ignored it. He started to study the music industry and found out the the complete music industry from A to Z was completly absolete. The artists were degraded from the oil that fueled a billion dollar industry to believe that they were mere puppets that should bow down, shut up and pay.

By nature the most artists and creative minds are not the most business wise people. With Vato being as much business man, starting his first company at 17 years old as a creative mind - he started doing things himself and re-invented the industry.

DIRTY HOUSE™ is a barrier between the artists and the industry. We always split money in an honest way between the company and the artist, the focus is not on earning money but letting the artist and label grow. In this synergy is more potential than the usual rip-off-and-bury-the-artist under-a-contract way the industry works.

We are in touch with our audience in a direct way, not bothered by radio charts or a need for airplay by big radio stations. With a reach of more than 100.000 people in The Netherlands - every promo send out will be on more iPods than any regular PR could get an artist on a budget. We've got personal connections with the biggest DJs in the Netherlands and can plug tracks ourselves. Our own distribution is well connected with iTunes, Beatport and Dance-Tunes as well as 25 other download portals.

Our power lies also in our partnerships with all the semi-illegal projects of sharing music - we embrace and cooperate instead of fight and always lose in this digital era. Our focus is on marketing on the places where the audience is, not on laws and regulations put up by the old industry to maintain a grip on their money.

The DIRTY HOUSE™ manifesto

With succes comes a change of vision, with a change of vision comes a change of priorities. Eventually thrill will lead to a situation where an artist forgets why he started a project in the first place. With this in mind, Vato Gonzalez™ wrote the 'DIRTY HOUSE™ manifesto' in the beginning of 2007 after he founded 'DIRTY HOUSE™' in 2006.

"It’s 2007, there is a lot of talent running free on the streets. Unsigned and unwanted big big labels with a fuckup mentality. Well I say, fuck big labels.

It’s 2007, there are to much freaking housetracks that are simply too boring to listen to. 16 minutes of crap pressed on vinyl. Well I say, fuck that.

It’s 2007 and we had enough of those freaking hippies with a ladies haircut, wearing too tight jeans whining about DIRTY HOUSE™ being too simple and too loud. Well I say, fuck hippies.

It’s 2007, and we like basslines. We like breaks, latin house, electro house, eclectic and we love DIRTY HOUSE™. We want to hear music so loud it will drive your dog crazy and the neighbours completely mad.

Give us 128 beats a minute with a solid bassline, we don’t even need to hear the bass – as long as we feel it.
